Q: What is the structure of the course?
A: The course is divided into 8 modules and will include basics of gynae scanning such as methodology of pelvic scan, ultrasound appearances of normal and abnormal structures in the pelvis etc. It will also cover in detail advanced gynae ultrasound such as 3D, Doppler in gynaecology and malignancy of pelvic structures.
Q:What do you mean by “image submission and assessment”?
A: A predetermined number of images pertaining to methodology, normal and abnormal US of pelvic structure will be required to be uploaded onto an internet based platform that will be shared with the delegates at the start of the course. This has proven to improve acquisition and quality of ultrasound imaging as demonstrated in our previous program (Fetal Ultrasound Program). A “scoring system” has been developed exclusively by us for this purpose, thereby objectively assessing image quality and paving the way for improving skills at gynae scanning.
Q: Will I get a certificate at end of the course?
A: ‘Certificate of Completion’ will be provided at the end of the course if the delegate has scored 80% in the image submissions. A "Certificate of Participation" will be provided to the delegate at the end of the course, in absence of image submission. This course is not in affiliation with any university, medical college, hospitals or organizations.
I am very happy to have registered for GUP, since I work in a mission hospital where radiologist is not available on all days (who comes once or twice a week) , me learning Gynaec USG has helped me do USG on my own in our setup & has lead to better management of my patients. I am able to have a better understanding of patient problem as I can correlate her symptoms,clinical examination findings and the USG findings. Teaching has been fantastic, all our doubts are dealt with lot of patience by our teachers/ mentors, they make sure that we have understood it. I thank them for such a wonderful program. A very informative and excellent initiative by BFMC.... when I heard about this.. my first thought was what would they teach us about gynae scan in 8 months.... but when attended the first class I realised that was I not doing justice to my patients in gynaec scan and that I need to learn a lot.... I am really grateful to the faculty for their immense hard work and dedication ...and they have made this topic so interesting.. I thank Dr. Pratima for bringing this to us..
GUP is one of the informative training programmes I have attended.. Had excellent teachers... lots of information given which helps us in our day to day clinical practice... I would strongly recommend this programme for all youngsters before they start their practice...thanks
